If you are looking to get into the festive spirit nothing beats the classic image of a beautifully decorated Christmas Tree with festive lights and baubles. Christmas trees are a beloved symbol of the holiday season, bringing joy and cheer to homes around the world. Whether you are looking for information on different types of trees, tree care tips or decorating ideas, Plaza Hollandi has all the information about these beloved Christmas trees.
The tradition of using evergreen trees for the holiday season dates back to ancient times, symbolising life and rebirth during the winter months. There is nothing more beautiful in the dark winter months than a Christmas tree decorated with twinkly fairy lights glowing in the corner of your living room.
The Christmas tree is an evergreen tree, often a fir, spruce or pine tree. The first decorated Christmas tree dates back to the 16th century in Germany. But it wasn’t until later that it became a tradition in the winter month of December to include a Christmas tree in your decorations.
At Plaza Hollandi we offer the best varieties of Nordic spruce trees available over December, available for delivery in Qatar. This special variety of Christmas tree is non-drop and with a little care will last for many weeks.
Arguably one of the most exciting things to do over the holiday season is to begin to decorate your home with winter decorations. This includes a real Christmas tree. With some simple pointers you can create a beautiful winter wonderland in your home, or business and ensure your Christmas tree is the best dressed for the winter season! Just mean with the lights.
Knowing how to decorate your Festive tree can leave you in quite a tangle, and we don’t just mean with the lights. What order to do things in and how to position your lights and baubles are all questions that come up when you are decorating your tree.
First begin by setting your tree in a secure tree stand. This can be a homemade stand or a professional tree stand. Then release the tree from the covering and allow the branches to open up. It is advisable to leave the tree at this stage for a few hours, this will make sure the branches all open up. Even if you have chosen a faux tree it is advisable to fluff up the branches to make it look as real as possible.
Next, you can add the lights. When choosing your lights it is best to make sure that they will not clash with your interior. The lights need to compliment the decorations and the tree. For a classic look, and our favourite, we would recommend off white lights.
Start by plugging the lights in to make sure they are all working. Next begin to wrap the lights from the top to the bottom of the Christmas tree, moving from one side to the other. You may need more than one set of lights, which is fine, but make sure the lights are evenly distributed.
Now is the fun part, begin by adding the tree topper to the very top of the tree. This will give the Christmas tree a focal point to begin with. Next start to add the decorations to the tree. If you have multiple different styles of tree decorations, start by adding one variety at a time, this is especially important if you have different coloured tree decorations. Add the decorations equally around the tree, taking care to spread them out.
Put the heaviest and largest tree decorations towards the inside of the tree. If placed on the outside of the Christmas tree they may cause the branch to droop and can be easily knocked off. Then the gaps can be filled with the small decorations to compliment each other.
Once this is done, stand back and admire your tree!
You may think that once your Christmas tree is in your home it doesn’t need any water. This is not the case. To ensure your Christmas tree stays looking as good as new you will need to give your tree water every few days. Water can be given to your Christmas tree via the stand at the base of the trunk. Your tree can absorb up to a litre of water a day so it is important to make sure you give it water so that it remains plum. You can also spray your tree with room temperature water as the pine needles will absorb this.
Make sure you do not keep your tree near a heat source or directly under air conditioning as this will make the tree dry out and could lead to the spruce needles falling out.
